19th Century style gilt wood  mirror frame water gilded in 14 carat white gold

The detail is etched into the gesso and then a grey bole "clay and rabbit skin glue" is applied to the gesso.

14 carat white gold leaf is then laid onto the prepared surface, the detail is then burnished with an agate stone.
