A fine watergilt neo-classic rectangular mirror with greek key pattern etching, beading and laurel leaves composition work. This 22 carat gold leaf mirror has been made as a homage to the 18th Century neo-classic Empire and Regency period when all things Greek and Roman were fashionable.

The greek key pattern is hand drawn onto the frame once the gold leaf has been applied, then the pattern is burnished with an agate stone tool. This mirror has antiqued glass but it can also be made with plain glass.
