A large silver water-gilt rectangular mirror with an etched pattern that is slightly art deco. This frame is of an antique style but would look great in a modern setting with the black clay and angular corners suiting a contemporary feel. 

The etching has been hand drawn onto the frame then burnished with an agate stone tool. The silver leaf has been applied with the water technique and has layers of black bole (clay) and gesso as an initial coat.

This mirror can be hung landscape or portrait.
